Spring 2021 One Room Challenge Week 7: Almost Complete

Only ONE WEEK to go!! If I’m honest here, I was really sweating it that I would finish since most of the past two weeks I’ve been on my own to complete everything. I would also really like my house back, it’s like the playroom and the new gaming room threw up in every room of my home and I really needs it to be put back in order again!! SOON!! On the work side of things, ie. Susan Hill Interior Design, my team would like my full attention back so I’m not obsessing over matching red oak and birch. PLUS my kiddos would really like to have the house put back together and be able to use the room.

Quick Gaming Room Update: Hardware, Pillows, and Custom Built Ins

So, let’s get to the updates on the events of the past week. I finished staining everything, got the tile installed, installed new door hardware, sewed pillows, finished painting and completed all of the punch items.

You can catch up on the past weeks here if you are just tuning in. Week One, Week Two, Week Three, Week Four, Week Five. Week Six.

If you notice the awesome Juniper TV Media Stand in the first photo from Apt2B; it’s pretty amazing! I love this media stand because of it’s very clean lines and the Tasmanian Blackwood was perfect with the red oak tv wall. It’s got really lovely routed handles, full extension glides and soft close hinges on the doors. Perfect for a room with teenagers in it!! Just love the way it looks in the room!

I also installed the Terrazo Bianco Macro tile from the Tile Shop. I asked them to match a trim piece to it since I do NOT like schluter as trim and they came up with the perfect pairing. I wanted something that was modern for the kiddos but that would work with the mostly monchromatic vibe of the space. It’s perfect and I love the way it looks in the room.

Build with Ferguson also partnered with me on the Edgestar Mini Beverage Fridge for the snack station. We didn’t need something fancy or huge for the kids, just something to keep beverages in for them so they aren’t running downstairs for snacks and drinks. It has already paid off!! The girls have been grabbing drinks out of it!

Love this Bees Knees print by Theresa Bear from Minted. Sophia picked this out on her own and it’s perfect for the room and her personality!

I also had a pillow party for those of you who don’t follow along on Instagram. I made just enough pillows to make the sectional from The Designers Marketplace comfy by not too many that they would end up all over the floor.

We’re almost there!

That’s about all of the updates this week guys! I’ll cover EVERYTHING else next week!! Can’t wait to share the final room with you!
