At the heart of my approach is my client and how their home needs to function and be organized.

To me "function first" means that a space functions well before anything else is accomplished.  A space can be beautiful, but if it doesn’t function well, it really doesn't matter how beautiful it looks.

I believe your home should be a place you want to spend time with your family and friends.  An oasis so you can kick your feet back and relax.

My job as a designer is to listen to my client and interpret what they say to me, sometimes without saying it, to create the image of their home that they have and build trust that I have their best interest at heart.

To me, good design is about the way the people relate to the space, the way they can live in it that makes their lives easier.

I worked with Susan on two separate occasions. She first refreshed my living and family rooms. She designed custom built-ins and window treatments, and incorporated existing pictures and furniture to create a new look. Later, when I needed to sell my home, she put together a staging plan which included paint, landscaping, lighting and minor repairs. In both of these projects, she learned my style preferences, created a vision, and worked within my budget to make it a reality. I received a large number of compliments on the refresh, and later sold my home quickly in a down market. I look forward to working with her again!
